Our dedication to the development of new technology is an integral part of Mostar’s founding principles. From engineering and design, to production of our own downhole tools, we’re committed to doing directional differently.
Pushing the boundaries
Our in-house R&D team creates original solutions to problems that plague the industry. The challenge is to continuously improve our capabilities in equipment performance through the development of new tools, equipment and processes for directional drilling.
- Forget about tripping for MWD
MWD failures downhole waste precious rig time and cost exorbitant amounts of money. Faced with the challenge of finding alternative solutions, we created the Dual Telemetry MWD system (patent pending). It eliminates the need to trip in the event of an MWD failure. In addition to its innovative functionality, it’s also retrievable and reseatable. Get more on how it works. - Retrievable, reseatable EM MWD
Mostar’s EM MWD system incorporates proven technology with improved components. It’s the only EM MWD system that is both retrievable and reseatable. Our new, patent pending isolation sub increases the reliability of getting EM signals to surface. Check out all the advantages. - Improved accuracy
It’s tough to drill with precision and stay within small formations. Aligned, Focused Gamma is a solution that improves drilling accuracy. It interprets directional information on the formations encountered as you drill – without the need for software correction. It’s like having eyes and a compass downhole. - Underbalanced drilling
Underbalanced drilling requires a measure of both annular pressure and internal pipe pressure. In addition to developing our own EM MWD system, we’ve expanded our capabilities to include pressure for underbalanced drilling. - Get the motor you want
Instead of adopting a one-size-fits-all approach, we have the capability to provide customized mud motors for our clients.
