You know that gamma gives you a visual ID of the formations you encounter as you drill. But unfocused gamma takes measurements from a 360-degree window. Though your snapshot may identify the formations you’re encountering, it won’t indicate the angle or direction of that formation.
It’s like having eyes and a compass downhole
Instead of taking a 360-degree snapshot of the downhole environment, focused gamma only allows a very small window to take measurements of gamma counts. Developed in-house, our aligned, focused gamma technology enables you to interpret directional information as you rotate the drill string.

No software correction needed
